Wondering what in the world a cake smash is, well it is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Basically, you take your toddler, and put them in front of a cake and take their picture while they smash their first cake! Fun fact, toddler’s do not normally understand what to do during a cake smash photoshoot and may end up sitting there crying. We were super lucky because Ryann had so much fun during her first birthday cake smash! A few important factors, have a fun playlist, or just play Baby Shark on repeat….literally, and have a fun photographer who gets your baby excited! Ryann was only playing with the icing so about half way through we cut a piece of cake out so she could see the middle, and she loved it. She had fun tasting the cake, playing with the frosting and as soon as she was over it she crawled away and let her puppy enjoy some to!
